At SCMHC, we recognize that good mental health requires an integrated approach. Care providers, clients, and community resources all play an interdependent role to improve well-being and quality of life. We make every effort to assist our clients with accessing health and social services available to them to maximize support system resources and improve outcomes.

In a world of mental health treatment options, you can trust that our credentials are sound: SCMHC behavioral health programs are licensed by the state of Florida, and we are annually accredited by The Joint Commission.

On-site treatment and therapies are provided at the South County Mental Health Center facility in Delray Beach, Florida. We also have a mobile crisis team that can deliver care directly to the home or elsewhere in the community.

Services provided to both our adult and child clients include:

Emergency Screening & Evaluation

We treat emergencies seriously. The emergency screening and evaluation of adults and children in crisis is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

These evaluations may be conducted at the South County Mental Health Center facilities in Delray Beach, Florida, or our mobile crisis team may be dispatched.

Either way, we respond quickly and provide care exactly where and when it’s needed most.

For those who are a danger to themselves or others due to psychological problems, we will evaluate the situation, then admit or refer the person for the most appropriate treatment services under the circumstances.

Medication Clinic

At South County Mental Health Center’s medication clinic, staff psychiatrists provide evaluation and treatment to outpatient clients. Our goal is to help our clients maintain their progress into wellness through the use of state-of-the-art psychotropic medications. The SCMHC medical department includes board-certified or -eligible psychiatrists, ARNPs, registered nurses as well as a full-service pharmacy.

Outpatient Therapy Services

Outpatient therapy services are offered to adults, adolescents and children. Services may be provided in an individual, family and/or group setting. And we want to make it as easy for you and your loved ones to receive these services: South County Mental Health Center professionals are happy to offer the availability of evening and Saturday appointments when needed.

Pharmacy

The South County Mental Health Center pharmacy is a full-service pharmaceutical dispensary available to clients. SCMHC participates in many drug company-sponsored patient assistance programs.
