Who pays for our services?

The money to provide our behavioral health care services comes from The Southeast Florida Behavioral Health Network, client insurance and personal income funds, the Florida Department of Children & Families, the Palm Beach Board of County Commissioners, and donations.

South County Mental Health Center receives reimbursement funds from contracts with state and county governments to assist with payment for those who qualify.

Since many government and private grants require matching funds, SCMHC depends upon the generosity of concerned individuals to provide financial support.

South County Mental Health Center is a privately owned nonprofit chartered by the state of Florida in 1974. We are governed by a board of directors who are volunteers from the community, and our programs are licensed by the state of Florida. SCMHC is accredited by The Joint Commission.
